Troy has been a notorious gay street cruiser in search of men in Chicago’s Little Village and beyond for several years. The past year has been a good time for him in that he has picked up a dozen men and has had a total of 45 adventurous dates with them. However, some of the men have presented him with challenges. In his story, “Street Cruising into the New Year,” Troy details the successes and challenges he has had when picking up the 12 men. Each man has his own story as to how he ended up selling himself to Troy and other men who cruise the street. Most of them openly tell their stories, which reveal how they have become the desired, gay-for-pay men they are. Following the adventures Troy had with the 12 men last year, he tells of his new adventures in the New Year. Though he had only planned on continuing to find more casual pickups on the streets, he discovers that street cruising has brought two lost souls together. A contemporary gay romance and adventure. (Though “Street Cruising into the New Year” is a standalone novel, it logically follows the novels “Nacho” and “Cruising Cermak Road.”)
