A civilian, a Marine, and a sailor go into a swimming pool toilet — maybe this would make a good joke, but here we have a somewhat complicated story. Most of my journal excerpts have a clear point of view, from when I was in the Marines or Navy or when I was just some sex-crazed perv marooned on the beach. Because of the mix of participants, I could have used any three of my cover styles. I was a recruiter in Hawaii when this story happened, but it had nothing to do with my role as a Marine.
